Extensions FAQ
Will extensions damage my hair?

When installed and maintained properly, extensions should not damage your natural hair. I use a lightweight beaded row method designed to support both hair and scalp health. Proper placement, tension, and maintenance are everything, and I’ll guide you on how to care for your hair so it stays strong and healthy.
Are the extensions real hair?

Yes. I use 100% human hair, carefully sourced for both quality and ethical standards. The hair is selected to look, feel, and move like your own, and each install is custom matched to your color and texture for a seamless blend.
Can I heat style or color my extensions?

Yes, you can heat style your extensions just like your natural hair. I always recommend using heat protection and keeping temperatures moderate. Extensions can also be custom colored when needed, which I handle to ensure a seamless, natural result.
How long does installation take?

New installations take approximately 1.5 hours per row, not including any color work. Maintenance appointments typically take about 45 minutes to 1 hour per row. I’ll give you a more exact time estimate during your consultation.
What is the investment?

Your initial investment depends on the amount of hair needed, length, and your overall goal. This includes the cost of the hair and your custom installation. You’ll receive a personalized quote at your consultation, and you can find a more detailed breakdown on the Extensions page.
Are they comfortable?

Yes. Comfort and hair health are my top priorities. Your extensions should feel secure and comfortable from day one, with no adjustment period.
How long will the hair last?

With proper care, the hair typically lasts 6–12 months or longer. Brunette hair tends to last longer than lighter shades, as it undergoes less processing. Longevity always depends on how the hair is maintained at home.
Can I wear my hair up?

Yes. Beaded row extensions sit best in a high or low ponytail, and placement can be customized based on your lifestyle and how you typically wear your hair so everything stays discreet and natural.
How often will I need maintenance?

Most guests come in every 6 weeks for maintenance, though some can stretch to 7–8 weeks depending on their hair and lifestyle. At your consultation, we’ll create a schedule that works specifically for you.
How do I care for my extensions?

We’ll go over all care and maintenance instructions together in person so you feel confident taking care of your hair at home, and you’ll receive a care guide to reference after your appointment. The main takeaways are keeping your scalp dry, brushing regularly to prevent tangling or matting, and taking a little extra care when swimming. Everything else we’ll walk through together so it feels simple and manageable.
